Anderson Engineering was founded in 1989 as Roger A. Anderson & Associates, Inc., a general purpose civil engineering firm serving the private sector in residential, commercial, and industrial development along with work on Municipal projects. By 1998 the firm had grown to 10 employees and changed its name to Anderson Engineering of Minnesota, LLC.
In 2002 Jack Bolke joined the firm as partner, bringing with him 26 years of Land Surveying experience, expanding Anderson Engineering’s service offerings. This was also the year Anderson Engineering hired a Professional Wetland Scientist and a GIS specialist to offer Environmental and GIS Services.
In 2008 Anderson Engineering became the first Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) to win an IDIQ contract with the US Department of Veterans Affairs. Timely, successful projects have continued with the VA and expanded into other federal agencies such as the USA Corps of Engineering, Fish and Wildlife, and Natural Resource Conservation Service.
Since 2008 Anderson Engineering has further diversified adding Architecture and Landscape Architecture to continue to work on an even wider range of projects for Municipal, State, and Federal agencies, and the private sector.
