Anderson Engineering of MN, LLC located in Plymouth, a growing AE firm, is seeking an Architectural Designer II position to join our dynamic architectural team.  Anderson is a small engineering, architecture and design firm with big firm resources. We have significant A/E design contracts for a variety of Federal and State projects throughout the United States.  Most of architectural work specializes in healthcare design, which plays vital role in positively impacting people’s lives and wellbeing on a daily basis.

The position is full-time, professional architectural staff performing architectural design throughout all phases of projects.  As a member of our team, you will collaborate with other talented architectural and engineering professionals in a friendly and engaging work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all phases of design/construction.
  • Work with senior level architectural staff to develop conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction document drawings and assist in specification preparation.
  • Consult and coordinate effectively with both clients and extended project team members from project conception through completion.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and follow-through with preparing information regarding design, specifications, materials, and project design.
  • On occasion, you will also conduct site and facility verification and assist in construction administration efforts to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design plans and standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Professional degree in Architectural Studies from a reputable institution.
  • Five to eight years of professional design experience.
    • Preferred experience in any or all healthcare/commercial/federal/VA markets.
  • Proficiency in documenting architectural design solutions with Autodesk software, including Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Working knowledge of graphics applications including Sketch-Up, Photoshop, Illustrator, and In-Design is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to apply effective written and oral communication and presentation skills when preparing technical reports and documentation and participating in project team meetings.
