Anderson provided professional architectural and engineering services to design the pedestrian link expanding the environmentally conditioned vestibule at the outpatient entrance and providing the weather protected cover linking the entrance to the parking structure. The design included lighting, radiant heating and seating for patients to use while awaiting transportation. Other decorative elements were provided to enhance the aesthetic of the structure. The Anderson design team provided civil, survey, architecture, landscape architecture and construction period services (CPS), while managing sub-consultants for mechanical engineering, electrical engineering. The new design addressed the Owner’s concerns including:
- Reconfigured the entry access with a new access road dedicated to Emergency patient drop-off, running over the existing MRI Suite
- Investigated and repaired existing leaking MRI Suite roof
- Provided new walkway canopy to connect Building 70 with an existing parking ramp structure to provide protection from the elements
- Expanded existing snowmelt system with new zoned system
- Provided seating and waiting areas
